Christ Memorial Baptist Church is a welcoming, mission-driven congregation dedicated to serving God and our community. We are prayerfully seeking the next pastor God has prepared to lead us forward.

A licensed, ordained minister

Holding current ministerial credentials and ordination from a recognized body.

Evangelizes and proclaims God's Word

A heart for the gospel and a calling to preach it without compromise.

Demonstrates holiness and integrity

A life and walk consistent with the standard set in 1 Timothy 3.

Energetic and spiritually gifted

Brings the gifts the Spirit has given to the work of leading God's people.

Vision for church growth and outreach

Sees what Christ Memorial can become and helps the congregation see it too.

Communicates effectively with all ages

Connects across generations and builds strong relationships within the body.

Humility and a teachable spirit

Open to counsel, willing to grow, content to lead as a servant.

About Christ Memorial

Christ Memorial Baptist Church was organized on April 7, 1976. We have worshipped in our current home at 1023 Dutchtown Road since June of 2012. Our motto, given to us at our founding, has carried us through five decades: “The church that is a new movement for Christ.”

Our congregation is supported by seven active ministries: the Choir, Health Ministry, Women of the Light, Adult and Youth Ushers, Barnabas, and Warriors for Christ. Through this season of transition, our deacons, deaconesses, and ministry leaders continue to gather, serve, and prepare a place for the pastor God is sending.

Application packet

Please prepare a complete packet including each of the following:

  • Cover letter including your personal statement of faith
  • Resume
  • Copy of ministerial license
  • Ordination certification
  • Educational degrees and certificates
  • Recent photograph
  • Link to recent sermons preached
  • Three references

Candidates selected for further consideration will be asked to consent to background and credit checks.
